Why it matters
OptimistFi's case is that Marsh McLennan works when risk complexity keeps outweighing normalization, fee pressure, and talent competition. This filing supports that view with an 8% revenue gain and a $512 million year-over-year increase in quarterly revenue.
GAAP operating income rose only 4% to $1.2 billion, which trailed the 6% increase in adjusted operating income. The quarter still showed only 5% underlying revenue growth, and nine-month operating income fell 3% to $4.9 billion.
The adjusted figures also exclude noteworthy items and identified intangible amortization expense. That means the headline gains are not pure operating expansion.

What's next
The next scheduled update is the conference call at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time on October 15, 2026. Investors will listen for whether management says underlying growth and adjusted income can keep outpacing the prior year. A stronger read would be another period of 5% or better underlying growth, while a weaker one would be more reliance on adjusted results.
