NextTrip (NASDAQ: NTRP) revenue jumps 122% as JOURNY TV integration wraps

What happened

NextTrip, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRP) reported six-month revenue of $2 million, up about 122% from $896,475 a year earlier. Second-quarter revenue was $546,687, down about 28% from $757,648 in the same quarter last year. The company said deferred revenue was about $1.2 million at August 31, 2026, supported in part by continued cruise-booking activity.

The company also said it finished consolidating JOURNY TV and GoUSA TV into one brand, one operating platform and one technology stack. It said the related integration work was substantially completed after quarter-end. NextTrip said JOURNY TV generated more than 307 million viewing minutes from January through August 2026.

NextTrip said its direct-sales team built a pipeline of more than $5 million in potential media advertising, sponsorship and strategic partnership opportunities. These are possible deals, not signed commitments or guaranteed revenue.

Why it matters

OptimistFi's case is mixed. The filing shows the travel-and-media funnel is bringing in more revenue, and the six-month gain from $896,475 to $2 million adds $1.1 million. It also gives investors a clearer base for JOURNY TV after the brand and platform consolidation.

The same filing says second-quarter revenue was below expectations and that the company focused on platform and product work instead of maximizing near-term revenue. That leaves the near-term picture split between stronger half-year growth and a weaker second quarter.

Deferred revenue can support later revenue recognition, but the filing says it is not necessarily a sign of revenue to be recognized in any one future period. It also said average monthly Samsung U.S. programmatic advertising revenue increased about 668% after the July transition, which shows monetization progress without guaranteeing more growth ahead.

What's next

NextTrip expects the initial commercial rollout and advisor onboarding for NextTrip Pro to begin in the third quarter. It also expects the first YADA and NextTrip LIVE event and concert initiatives to start contributing in the third quarter, including the first music concert in November.

The company said its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended August 31, 2026 will include operating expenses, net loss, loss per share and cash and liquidity information. Those figures will give investors a fuller read on whether revenue gains are keeping up with spending and cash needs.

Progress in onboarding, advertising monetization and booking activity would strengthen the case. Softer conversion or weak cash figures would weaken it.
