Amazon Starts Its Deals for Black Friday This Week

Black Friday at Amazon starts this week with eight consecutive days of deals.

The online behemoth announced on Wednesday that it would start offering its deals for Black Friday this Friday November 20 and have deals continuing throughout Black Friday, which starts on the 27th.

Similar to the Prime Day event of Amazon in July, the company says its new deals will be added every five minutes.

Starting at midnight on Thanksgiving, the company is going to offer ten of its Deals for the Day with as many as ten more Deals of the Day appearing on Black Friday.

As is custom with Amazon, there will be lightning deals offered with subscribers of Prime the $99 a year shipping subscription getting a head start of 30 minutes on most of the deals.

While Amazon has yet to reveal what products are to be discounted Black Friday, over the upcoming eight days online shoppers should expect to see huge discounts Amazon’s own line of products including its Fire TV, a Kindle paper white and the new Fire 7-inch Android tablet.

The deals are also available even if a shopper does not have a Prime account.

Other devices on Amazon such as its Fire streaming box for TV, its Fire TV stick that has voice remote and its tablet Fire Kids Edition will all have huge discounts.

A huge assortment of video games will be discounted including discounts on the Xbox console and the PlayStation 4.

In an attempt to get more consumers to shop on the mobile app it has over the weekend of Black Friday, Amazon will be making more than 150 Lightning Deals that will be available inside the mobile app for Android, iOS and its Fire OS.

The deals will be found on the mobile app as App Only Deals and will be released each day between 6 pm and 2 am ET, with the first starting Thanksgiving evening.

Similar to the extension by Amazon of its deals for Black Friday thee in-app deals will pop up through Wednesday December 9.
